How Mobile IV Appointments Work in Perth

Submitting a booking request is the first step. Reviva Wellness reviews each enquiry for suitability, location and appointment availability, then coordinates the required prescribing consultation or confirms an appropriate current medical order before any infusion begins.

What Happens After You Submit a Booking Request?

After your booking request is received, Reviva Wellness reviews the information provided, including your health information, requested service, location and appointment availability. Where a current patient-specific medical order is not in place, Reviva Wellness coordinates the required prescribing consultation before the appointment proceeds. For some services, such as mobile iron infusion, existing prescriptions, referral information or recent pathology may instead be provided for review.

Before Your Appointment

Submit your booking request with your contact details, location, preferred appointment time, service of interest and relevant health information. Reviva Wellness then reviews the request for suitability and availability and lets you know if anything further is needed before the prescribing stage.

Medical Review & Prescribing

Reviva Wellness coordinates the required prescribing consultation where a current patient-specific medical order is not already in place. This is usually completed by video consultation with the prescribing doctor. The infusion does not proceed until the appropriate medical review and medical order requirements have been completed.

Your Mobile Appointment

Once the required review and medical order are complete and the appointment is confirmed, an AHPRA-registered nurse attends the agreed home, hotel or workplace. The nurse completes the required checks before the infusion begins and remains responsible for your care throughout the appointment.

Prefer to Speak With Us Before Booking?

If you have questions about the booking process, your location or what information may be needed for a mobile IV appointment, you’re welcome to speak with Reviva Wellness before submitting a booking request.

Already Have a Prescription or Referral for a Mobile Iron Infusion?

If you already have a prescription, referral information or recent pathology results for an iron infusion, you can provide these with your booking request for review. Reviva Wellness will review the information provided and let you know whether anything further is required, including any additional clinical information or prescribing requirements, before the mobile iron infusion appointment can proceed.

What Happens on the Day of Your Mobile Appointment?

When your nurse arrives, they will confirm the appointment details, review the relevant information and complete the required pre-infusion checks. The patient-specific medical order and any service-specific requirements must be confirmed before administration begins. Once everything is in place, the infusion can commence and will be monitored throughout the appointment, with any required observation completed before the visit concludes.

Questions About Your Mobile Appointment

What if my health or medications change after I submit my booking request?

Please let Reviva Wellness know before your appointment if there has been any change to your health, medications, allergies or other relevant circumstances since your booking request was submitted. The updated information may need to be reviewed before the appointment proceeds, and in some cases further clinical or prescribing review may be required.

Limited space or access does not automatically prevent a mobile appointment. Let Reviva Wellness know about any access, mobility or space limitations when you submit your booking request so they can be considered in advance. The appointment setting needs to allow the nurse to provide care safely, and any concerns can be discussed before the appointment is confirmed.

Reviva Wellness will let you know what additional information is required and whether it needs to be provided by you, your GP or the prescribing clinician. Depending on what is missing, the appointment may need to be delayed until the relevant information, review or medical order requirements have been completed.

If the appointment cannot safely or appropriately proceed as planned, Reviva Wellness will explain the next steps. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve obtaining additional information, completing further clinical review or prescribing review, or arranging another appointment. An infusion will only proceed once the relevant requirements have been satisfied.
